A pattern library for the world’s largest retailer

Walmart, 2025
Senior Product Designer

Walmart’s Partner Experience (PX) Pattern Library provides extensive page templates and components for design teams to leverage across Walmart’s enterprise platforms. This library serves over 120 designers across Walmart Marketplace and is crucial in creating a more consistent and elevated user experience for our sellers.

As Senior Product Designer, I am responsible for the visual design and UX of new patterns and am the primary designer for all data visualization components. I also help maintain the overall structure and usability of the library, and collaborate with designers across teams to audit existing patterns and define new ones.

Data Visualization Colour System

Recently I’ve been leading the initiative to develop the first data visualization colour system at Walmart. Working closely with a colour scientist, we created hue sequences around the primitive colour values from our core design system, Living Design. This allowed us to pull out categorical and sequential colour palettes that avoided any existing UI colours, but had visual cohesion with them. This system was also adapted to work in dark mode.

Visual Design

I've been the visual designer on several components within the PX Pattern Library, including this hero banner and feature carousel.

Data Ribbon Flow

The first end-to-end flow in the PX Pattern Library, clicking ‘Optimize’ from the data ribbon opens a takeover flow to optimize specific items from the catalogue.
